Percey

Objective

Percey is a web App + bot that  allows Slack users to connect with their community. Slack is full of  multiple channels, individuals, concepts, and message streams. One of the core problems of slack is understanding what has been said recently and how you can connect ASAP with the people that are talking about what you're interested in. Percey models the network of interactions between individuals in order to suggest the most relevant people to you. Connections are suggested by Percey, but created by the community.

Lessons Learned

• Solving problems at scale for a variety of end users is hard. It's best to prove the concept within a small group.
• Current social networks are business friendly and business exploitation heavy rather than a user focus.
